About

The two hats

I've spent three decades turning hard problems into software that ships - and I'm spending this decade teaching teams to build with AI, not just talk about it.

Ragas still to learn

By day I'm Director of Engineering & AI Acceleration at GoTo, where I lead AI adoption and maturity programs across the organization - building the pipelines, patterns, and enablement that let engineers and non-technical builders alike ship real work with agentic tools.

By night (and weekends) I run Pyxis International, my fractional-CTO and consulting practice, and build Pyxis Aviate - an aviation operations platform born from a deep love of the domain: flight simulation navdata, flight planning, and production ops systems.

My architecture philosophy is unfashionably pragmatic: YAGNI, Active Record, no DDD ceremony. I'd rather ship a clear thing that works than a clever thing that impresses. And when the laptop closes, there's usually a keyboard nearby - but more on that below.

Pyxis Aviate

An aviation operations software platform - flight planning, navdata, and production ops tooling drawn straight from the cockpit and the simulator. Where decades of domain obsession become a real product.

keypro

An open format & toolset for keyboard-centric performance charts - extending ChordPro with transposable riff notation, scale/mode metadata, and support for NNS, Solfège, and Sargam.

GeographicLib .NET

A faithful .NET/C# port of GeographicLib - UTM, MGRS, geocentric & geodesic math, geoid heights and geomagnetic models. The quiet engine under a lot of aviation tooling.

Utilities

A long-running collection of C# utility classes and extension methods - the sharpened, reused-everywhere toolbox that thirty years of shipping .NET quietly accumulates.

templateservice

A production-ready template for a .NET microservice - the pragmatic, no-ceremony starting point that gets a new service from zero to shipping without the usual boilerplate tax.

Keyboards in my spare time

I dabble with keyboards when time allows - Hindi, Bengali (Bollywood) and English repertoire on a MainStage rig. Sound design, patches, and the simple pleasure of playing.

Indian classical theory

A deep, ongoing study of sargam, ragas and thaats - the grammar behind the music. It's also why keypro speaks Sargam natively.
